Breast augmentation, also known as mammoplasty augmentation, is a surgical procedure that is performed to improve the shape and size of a woman's breasts or to correct a breast imbalance in its size.
Women from 18 years old who want to increase the size of their breasts, either because they consider that their current silhouette is too small, that there is a disproportion between both breasts or because of a loss of considerable weight or a pregnancy, after which the breasts are more empty and hanging down.
We examine and evaluate your clinical condition and that of your mammary glands.
We analyze your complete medical history
– Personal and family history.
– Diseases (hypertension, diabetes, lung pathologies, close relatives having suffered cancer, etc.).
-Size, shape and firmness of the breast itself.
-State of the gland (pregnancy, lactation and alterations produced by the menstrual cycle).
From the analysis of your medical history and your motivations, we recommend you:
-Type of operation to be carried out.
-Volume of the breasts.
-Shape and content of the prosthesis (physiological intravenous or silicone gel).
Surgery in the operating room, usually under general anesthesia and lasting between 1 and 2 hours.
The surgical incision is made in the pareolar or submammary area. Posterior placement of the prosthesis in the cavity created in subpectoral or subgandular position.
Patients will stay in the clinic with the appropriate bandage and the corresponding analgesic treatment.
Patients will be discharged with medication and following the instructions of the surgeon.
The appearance of an edema is normal, together with the pain sensation in low intensity, and occasional pricking and tingling and burning sensations in the nipples, which will be treated with a mild analgesic.
The bandage is removed. The use of a special bra, sport type and an elastic band will be recommended.
